Professor the Hon Robert Hill
Chairman of the Australian Carbon Trust
Professor the Hon Robert Murray Hill has recently returned from the United States where he was the Permanent Representative to the United Nations for Australia (2006 – 2009). He is to be Chairman of the Australian Carbon Trust, which will be based in Brisbane. He is currently the Adjunct Professor in Sustainability at the United States Studies Centre, Sydney University.
Prior to his appointment to the United Nations, Robert Hill served as a Senator for South Australia (1981 – 2006) and during his time in Federal Parliament was Minister for Defence (2001 – 2006) and Minister for the Environment and Heritage (1996 – 2001). He attended the University of Adelaide (LLB, BA) and University of London (LLM).
