Membership
The Council is open to a broad range of members, including:
- Energy efficiency product manufacturers and service providers
- Private sector clients
- Governments The Energy Efficiency Council is the only industry body that exclusively focuses on growing the energy services sector. Organisations that are members of the Council are able to strongly influence the development of energy efficiency in Australia. This has major benefits:
- For energy efficiency providers, developing the market increases income.
- For public and private sector clients, improving the quality, reliability and simplicity of services will improve their ability to upgrade their energy efficiency. Raising the overall profile of energy efficiency will also improve the marketing advantage of Australian leaders in energy efficiency.
- For regulators, accessing the expertise of providers and clients will strengthen their ability to develop genuine and effective policy, and a strong and effective energy services sector will significantly lower the cost of abatement in Australia.
Members also receive exclusive benefits, including:
- Significantly lower costs for using Council tools such as standard contracts. Sponsor members recoup membership fees if they use two private sector Energy Performance Contracts a year.
- Exclusive access to Council publications and updates on key energy efficiency issues.
- Networking with potential clients, suppliers and collaborators
- Access to policy advisory services
- Access to member-only forums
