Welcome to new Energy Efficiency Council members 27 April 2022

There is now consensus that Australia’s economy will move towards net zero emissions by 2050, if not earlier. The political debate is no longer focused on whether to aim for net zero, but what the shape of the pathway is and the measures that are required to get us there. We know energy management needs to play a central role. How much energy is used, and when it is used, will determine how much investment is required in generation, storage and networks. As we work through this critical decade, which will be a pivotal period for our industry, we must work harder to ensure that new policy settings support the creation of a large, sophisticated market for energy management.

And we must not forget the value of our industry coming together to leverage our strength. This is why membership is the backbone of the Energy Efficiency Council.

We appreciate the commitment of all of our members to our vision, and we thank them for their ongoing support. Further, we want to welcome our new members: ABB Australia Pty Ltd, Aussie Greenmarks, 4 Seasons Home Insulation, NDEVR Environmental, Venergy Australia, 100% Renewables, Birdwood Energy, Cahn Australia Pty Ltd, Phaeton Energy, Piechowski Energy, Saturn Engineering Group and Sense.

Should your organisation want to lead on the development of a sophisticated market for energy management, we recommend you become a member of the Council and join us as our industry leads this critical decade in Australia's energy transition and net zero transformation.
