Energy Efficiency Expo
2019 Event Wrap-Up
Energy Efficiency Expo launched in October 2019. It’s a new business focused trade show and exhibition held alongside All-Energy Australia at Jeff’s Shed in Melbourne that we run in partnership with Reed Exhibitions.
The first Expo exceeded all of our expectations, in terms of attendees, engagement and exhibitors. The feedback has been incredible, but what we're really proud of is the platform it has given us to raise the profile of smart energy management.
In the free-to-attend conference, we worked with program partner Sustainability Victoria to provide a platform for Australia’s manufacturing, food processing, agribusiness and commercial and government building sectors to share what they are doing to manage their energy costs. Real businesses, on stage, talking to other businesses about what is working for them.
We ran sold out workshops on introduction to energy management and building the business case for energy efficiency.
And on the show room floor we gave the energy management industry an opportunity to connect directly with businesses looking for energy solutions.
One of the core goals of the Energy Efficiency Council is to support businesses across the economy by giving them trusted, impartial information on energy management so they have the confidence to make energy management investments.
The Energy Efficiency Council has done a huge amount of work over the past two years providing clear, actionable information to businesses that are working through what the energy transition means to them. It’s one of the ways we work with our members across the energy management industry, government, universities and not-for-profits to raise the profile of the big opportunities to cut both costs and carbon by running the ruler over how they use energy.
Energy Efficiency Expo just takes this effort to the next level. And it helps us expand the national conversation around energy to the demand side, which will be crucial for the next, critical decade of Australia’s energy transition.
