Victorian energy minister meets energy efficiency industry leaders 15 July 2015

Organised by the Energy Efficiency Council (EEC), the peak body for energy efficiency, cogeneration and demand management, the ‘Energy Efficiency Leaders’ Lunch’ was the first in a series of intimate events bringing senior executives together with high profile figures from business and government to discuss the key issues facing energy efficiency in Australia.

Representatives of a range of leading energy efficiency providers attended the event, including A.G. Coombs Group, AGL Energy Services, Airmaster, City Holdings, Ecosave, Energetics, GDF SUEZ Energy Services, Norman, Disney & Young and Schneider Electric.

Guests joined EEC President Tony Arnel and CEO Luke Menzel to discuss key issues including government efforts to drive efficiency in its own operations, the Federal Government's National Energy Productivity Plan and the importance of training and certification in the energy efficiency sector.

Luke Menzel, Energy Efficiency Council CEO said “The Energy Efficiency Leaders’ Lunch was a great opportunity to support the Victorian Government’s drive to engage the industry in the development of their new energy efficiency and productivity strategy.

We were delighted to welcome Minister D’Ambrosio as our guest. It is encouraging for our members to hear first-hand about the Government’s commitment to making energy efficiency a central pillar of Victoria’s broader energy policy.”

The event was supported by Norman, Disney & Young. Future “Energy Efficiency Leaders’ Lunches" are planned for NSW and Queensland and will be open to EEC Sponsor and Corporate members.
