4th edition of Navigating a dynamic energy landscape: A briefing for businesses launched
Last week the Energy Efficiency Council (EEC) was delighted to launch the 4th edition of Navigating a dynamic energy landscape: a briefing for Australian businesses.
In some ways, the landscape hasn't changed much since the first edition of the briefing, but in other ways, it has changed dramatically, particularly with net zero now driving the agenda.
From First Fuel: 'Urgency and action' with Tim Goodson
Last week, Energy Efficiency Council CEO Luke Menzel spoke with Tim Goodson from the International Energy Agency (IEA) to discuss the IEA’s Net Zero by 2050 report and the importance of front-loading action on the pathway to net zero. Click through for an edited excerpt, and a link to the full conversation on our podcast, First Fuel.
Efficiency Leader: Dr Hong Xian Li
In this month’s Efficiency Leader we are profiling Dr Hong Xian Li (Lily). Not only is Lily a Senior Lecturer at Deakin University’s School of Architecture and Built Environment, but she is also one of Australia's representatives to the International Energy Agency’s Energy in Buildings and Communities (IEA EBC) Programme.
Energy Efficiency Expo 2021 Recap
While we weren't able to meet in person again this year, thanks to the industry's support we were able to come together virtually to learn, discuss and grow through the Energy Efficiency Expo. The virtual program was conducted across seven days, for seven sessions, and was free to attend. It was an outstanding encapsulation of the crucial role energy efficiency, energy management and demand management will play in decarbonising Australia and developing a net zero economy.
