Flushing out the best bathroom facility in Australia 24 February 2016

Total Facilities is on the search again to find Australia’s Best Bathroom Facility – the facility or workplace with the loveliest loos in the land – with nominations now open for the 2016 award.

A growing number of companies are making more effort to create a pleasant bathroom environment, and it’s safe to say that toilet trips are taken in a whole host of facilities, from offices to shopping centres and sports stadiums to hotels. As a facilities or workplace professional, you should be proud of your potty! Whether it’s a soothing scent, comfy seats, creative design or practical organisation, Total Facilities wants to find what makes a person skip to the loo.

Reigning ‘king of thrones’ X02 won the 2015 award based on their outstanding entry for their bathroom facility featuring touch point elimination, aromatherapy, controlled usage technology, Sense Management and inspirational music.

Nominations are being received via the Total Facilities website, where entrants are required to complete an entry form and submit photographic evidence of the nominated bathroom.

Andrew Lawson, Total Facilities’ Event Manager, said the awards were established to encourage a sense of porcelain pride among Australia’s facilities and workplace management professionals, and nominations are open once again to managers of both public and private bathroom facilities.

“How a business maintains its bathroom facilities can be a reflection of its commitment to employees and customers,” he said. “If you believe the bathroom in your building or facility goes above and beyond in the design or cleanliness stakes then we’d love to hear from you.”

Mr Lawson said Australia’s Best Bathroom Facility competition is a great way to bring some recognition to your company and its facilities. Entries are open until Monday March 21 and will be judged by a panel based on eligibility, style, comments and cooperation with the process.

Finalists will be announced via the Total Facilities website and Twitter page on Thursday March 24 and will be invited to attend the exclusive Opening Night Cocktail Reception on Wednesday April 6  where the winner will be announced. Finalists must attend the event to be eligible to win. The winner will be awarded the coveted title of ‘Australia’s Best Bathroom Facility’.

Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from Wednesday April 6 to Thursday April 7, Total Facilities will feature a powerful combination of innovation and education designed to reduce cost and improve performance of the nation’s facilities and workplaces, as well as connecting more than 160 suppliers with 2,000 clients and end-users. The Seminar Theatre will host an impressive line-up of industry speakers discussing forefront trends, disruptive technologies and practical solutions that will help participants in their day to day to run more efficient facilities and healthy workplaces.
