AHK Australia presents the webinar series: Industry Focus. Each edition will shed light on a different industry, give up-to-date information on the current economic situation, and discuss industry-specific challenges and opportunities that the Australian market presents.
Through its online delivery, AHK members across the country, and even overseas, will be able to get in-depth information and learn about new developments – all this delivered by industry experts.
The topic in August:
The role of energy efficiency in buildings in lowering carbon intensity is vast. While buildings are responsible for almost a quarter of Australia’s national emissions, most of the solutions required to decarbonise the sector are already mature and available. The challenge is for these solutions to become widely deployed. Projects can roll out rapidly, deliver a long term pay off, reduce emissions, and create several jobs within Australia.
For businesses involved in the energy efficiency industry, staying up to date on current developments is more important than ever, especially considering the COVID-19 crisis. Therefore, we are excited to welcome Luke Menzel, CEO of the Energy Efficiency Council and Henning Ellermann Head of Energy Efficiency in buildings from DENEFF, to join us and share their insights on the current state and trends in the Energy Efficiency sector.
Following this update, there will be a discussion to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with the COVID-19 crisis and to the role of the government, finance institutions and the industry.
