Survey on energy audit standards 22 June 2022
Accurate and consistent energy auditing can help businesses to identify and implement high quality energy efficiency projects. In 2014, Standards Australia released a series of standards for energy auditing, setting out minimum requirements for commissioning and conducting three prescribed types of audits that identify opportunities for cost effective investments to improve the energy performance of organisations or sites.
The standards include:
- AS/NZS 3598 .1:2014 Energy audits – Commercial buildings
- AS/NZS 3598.2:2014 Energy audits – Industrial and related activities
- AS/NZS 3598.3:2014 Energy audits – Transport related activities
After more than 5 years in operation, EN-001 Energy Management and Auditing technical committee is running a survey to assess how well the standards are meeting market needs, and the needs of energy users.
Survey
The Committee would greatly appreciate survey responses from energy auditors and clients of energy auditors. The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete. Your time is greatly appreciated as your feedback is critical to a meaningful review.
The Committee has developed two surveys, one for energy auditors and one for energy audit clients:
Client Survey: https://standards.syd1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bDCOk38OQGW6tmK
Auditor Survey: https://standards.syd1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9uXE858XHAZyllY
Respondents are asked to please complete the survey by 15 July 2022.
Webinar – 7 July, 10am-11:30am
Standards Australia will also host a webinar to provide a brief introduction to the standards and more context on the survey. The webinar will also enable you to discuss the survey with members of the EN-001 technical committee. Attendees may wish to fill in the survey during the webinar. Webinar details may be requested from info@eec.org.au.
