Core EEC membership benefits
The Energy Efficiency Council delivers the following core benefits to all members.
Policy and advocacy
The EEC represents its members’ interests in key state and federal policy forums, advocating for positions developed in close collaboration with members.
Members contribute to policy development on particular priority issues by joining EEC Task Groups, or through member-only teleconferences and consultations regarding specific policies and submissions.
Members receive the EEC’s exclusive monthly policy briefing, which includes a detailed breakdown of the state of play in state and federal policy from the EEC’s Head of Policy.
EEC members are also invited to join EEC executives at meetings with Australian energy departments and boardroom-style Leaders’ Lunches with Ministers.
Business growth
The EEC partners with a range of government, business and professional organisations to deliver events and collaborative projects that support businesses through Australia’s energy transition. This includes the EEC’s flagship business-focused event, the Energy Management Zone inside ALL Energy Australia, where members can directly engage with energy users.
Members’ projects and initiatives are often featured as part of EEC projects, including on the EEC’s business-focused information portal, energybriefing.org.au. Members are also offered first priority access to sponsorship opportunities for events and communications.
EEC members are highlighted on the products and services directory on the EEC's website, with areas of operation navigable so that energy users can reach them.
All members also receive a Membership Certificate and Member Logo to display in their offices and use on their website and promotional materials.
Professional development
The EEC offers members discounted registration at EEC and partner events, including the EEC’s annual National Conference, regular lunchtime energy policy forums on topics of national interest, and other Council events.
Discounted registrationis also offered to members undertaking Performance Measurement and Verification Analyst (PMVA)and EEC Certified Professionalscertifications, and other training and professional development programs.
The EEC also holds regular networking opportunities with the EEC's Board, executives and industry colleagues across the country.
Membership fees
Association fees and turnover thresholds are set annually by the EEC's Board, and are correct for FY2024. All dollar values are exclusive of GST.

The Carbon Market Institute (CMI) is the independent peak industry body at the centre of business and climate action. CMI:

The Clean Energy Council is the peak body for the clean energy industry in Australia. We are a not-for-profit, membership-based organisation. Efficiency Canada is the national voice for an energy efficient economy. We envision a future where Canada uses energy efficiency to its fullest potential. This means maximizing the benefits of energy efficiency resulting in a sustainable environment, a productive economy, and a just and equitable society. Efficiency Canada is housed at Carleton University’s Sustainable Energy Research Centre, which is located on the traditional unceded territories of the Algonquin nation.
Energy Consumers Australia is the independent, national voice for residential and small business energy consumers.
We enable residential and small business energy consumers to have their voices heard by the sector by working with other consumer groups to gather evidence-based research with a national perspective, distil it to key viewpoints, and feed it back to the market to influence outcomes.
The Facility Management Association is the peak national industry body for facilities management, representing and supporting professionals and organisations responsible for the operational management of Australia’s built environments.
Established in 1988, today FMA has branches in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania Victoria and Western Australia.
A primary focus of the Association is to ensure the needs of professionals and organisations working in and dealing with facilities management are understood and considered in government and business policy formulation and decision making.

As a Facilitator and Multiplier, the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce has over 40 years of experience in promoting the German-Australian bilateral trade relationship. With our extensive network of German and Australian organisations we are ideally positioned to aid in the process toward a more sustainable energy future. The Property Council of Australia is the leading advocate for Australia’s biggest industry and biggest employer – property. Our industry represents 13% of Australia's GDP, employs 1.4 million Australians (more than mining and manufacturing combined) and secures the future of 14.8 million Australians who have a financial stake in property through their super funds.
The Property Council champions the interests of more than 2200 member companies that represent the full spectrum of the industry, including those who invest, own, manage and develop in all sectors of property, creating landmark projects and environments where people live, work, shop and play.

We are an industry led collaborative research centre established in 2020 with $68.5M of Commonwealth funding.
The remainder of our resources come from our 70+ partners who cover the whole value chain from end user back to network, technology companies, governments, and many of Australia’s leading energy researchers. We will invest $350m of resources over 10 years to catalyse lower energy costs and a substantial reduction in carbon emissions.
The research is organised in four programs: RACE for Business, RACE for Homes, RACE for Networks and RACE for Everyone (covering cross-sectoral issues). RACE’s research learnings will be driven into the market through our market transformation programs to deliver our targets of reducing energy costs, cut carbon emissions and increase customer load flexibility to allow increased penetration of renewables in the grid and increased reliability.

Renew (Alternative Technology Association Inc trading as Renew Australia) is a national, not-for-profit organisation that inspires, enables and advocates for people to live sustainably in their homes and communities. Established in 1980, Renew provides expert, independent advice on sustainable solutions for the home to households, government and industry.
We have helped thousands of households save money and reduce their environmental footprint with information on energy efficiency, solar power, rainwater tanks, materials reuse and waste.
Renew advocates in government and industry arenas for easy access to sustainable solutions as well as continual improvement of the technology, information and products needed to change the way we live. Renew also provides consultancy services based on our technical expertise in energy, water and communications.
Members shall support the principles of ecologically sustainable development, energy efficiency, the appropriate use of renewable energy sources, conservation of non-renewable energy resources, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Members shall act so as to uphold and enhance the honour, integrity and dignity of the Association by associating exclusively with enterprises of unquestionable character, by soliciting work and advertising and promoting their services and products with dignity and truth, avoiding any potentially misleading statements or omissions.
Members shall inform their clients or employers if circumstances arise in which their judgment or the independence of their service may be questioned by reason of business connections, personal relationships, interests or affiliations.
Members shall continue their professional development throughout their careers and shall actively assist and encourage all other members to advance their knowledge and experience.
